A visual poem

This short film was shot on Super 8mm during a month-long stay in the Cape, made in the margins of a production and shaped by time spent moving through the landscape. Exploring both old and new shooting with decades old format but presented as a vertical film.

The piece reflects on personal encounters and moments gathered there through fragments of daily life, light, and rhythm. Edited to an archival a cappella recording by Passion Drives Us, an acapella group that has disappeared since, the film echoes the emotional texture of the place itself.

Alongside the moving image, a series of 35mm photographs accompanies the work, portraying everyday life with the same sense of attentiveness and restraint.
