Giannis Antetokounmpo MVP

Giannis Antetokounmpo has risen to become one of the best players in the NBA, and, fittingly was voted Season MVP. For the release of his signature Nike shoe – the first European player to get one – we put a hoop on the top of Mount Olympus; the highest point in Greece and ancient home of the Greek Gods.

We created a special hoop so that we didn’t have to drill into the mountain and no sacred mountains were harmed in the making of this film.

I oversaw the execution of the launch film and editorial photography, and the campaign was picked up by various outlets or editorials such as Shots, Esquire, Adweek, AdAge, Best Ads on TV, Creative Review, The Drum and Greek City Times. And picked up a pencil at The One Show for Experiential & Brand Installation.

The launch captured global attention, with 2,180 media stories, 1,000+ social posts, and an estimated 900 million impressions, turning a product drop into a cultural moment.
