Ocean Warriors.

A short documentary conceived as part of the Part Time Heroes campaign about the people who protect our oceans when no one else will. It follows Sea Shepherd volunteers from around the world who put their lives on the line to enforce international conservation law on the open ocean, where enforcement barely exists and Sea Shepherd acts under the UN World Charter for Nature.

Against a backdrop of overfishing and climate change, I made the film as a story of ordinary people driven by one shared belief: that defending the oceans is essential to protecting life as we know it. It was released by CNN’s Great Big Story, taking it well beyond the usual NGO audience.
